Trio working individually, Langer out for several weeks

The Royal Blues began preparations for Saturday’s home game against SpVgg Greuther Fürth (26/10) on Monday afternoon in Gelsenkirchen (21/10).

Emil Højlund was unavailable for last weekend’s away game at Hannover 96 due to Achilles tendon pain. The 19-year-old was also missing on Monday in training. Adrian Gantenbein remains on the sidelines following the calf injury he picked up in the friendly at FC Aarau, while goalkeeper Michael Langer will now be out for several weeks with a knee injury.

Following a collision, Tobias Mohr is suffering with upper body pain and will only train individually on Monday and Tuesday. The same applies to Ilyes Hamache, who wasn’t able to finish Friday’s session before the trip to Hannover 96 due to pain in his foot. Christopher Antwi-Adjei will continue his individual rehabilitation work for the thigh injury he sustained before the international break.
