A return to Hohe Tauern National Park for summer training camp

The Royal Blues have been hosting their summer training camp in Austria since 2016, and this year is no exception. For the fifth time in a row, Schalke will head to Hohe Tauern National Park to prepare for the upcoming 2020/21 season.

Head coach David Wagner’s side will set up camp in Mittersill from Friday, 31st July until Saturday, 8th August. The Royal Blues will train in the Hohe Tauern Arena, the home of SC Mittelstill, and the team will stay at the Hotel Schloss Mittersill. Schalke will play two friendlies during this time: one on 3rd or 4th August, and the other on 7th August.

The popular holiday destination in southern Austria is located within the largest wildlife reserve in Central Europe. With 300 mountains above 3,000m, several glaciers, waterfalls and lakes, as well as one of the most beautiful panorama streets in Europa (the Großglockner Hochalpenstraße), Hohe Tauern National Park offers an unforgettable experience year-round.
