Dates for the 2023/24 season outlined

The German Football Association’s (DFB) presidential committee outlined the key dates for the 2022/23 season on Friday afternoon. The new Bundesliga season will begin on the weekend of 18th to 20th August, with the 2. Bundesliga starting three weeks earlier on 28th July.

Marcin Kaminski: Anything is still possible, it’s down to us

While there is still no action at the Bundesliga grounds up and down the country, Schalke have returned to training at Ernst-Kuzorra-Weg. The Royal Blues have been preparing for the remaining 19 league games since last week in Gelsenkirchen. Marcin Kaminski, who was last in the squad at the end of August, has returned to training following the cut to his calf that ruled him out for several months.

After around two and a half weeks off, the Schalke players have returned to training in Gelsenkirchen to prepare for the second half of the season.

Schedule announced for matchdays 20 to 25 – Revierderby on a Saturday night

The DFL published the schedule for matchdays 20 to 25 on Tuesday (15/11). The Revierderby against BVB is on a Saturday night, as is the home game against VfB Stuttgart. S04 will also play on a Saturday afternoon twice, plus once on a Friday and a Sunday respectively.

FC Schalke 04 lost 2-0 at home against FC Bayern on Saturday night (12/11). The league leaders celebrated their tenth straight win in all competitions thanks to goals from Serge Gnabry (38’) and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting (52’).
